Review: laura mercier fan powder brush
Hey guys long time no see!
I've just been really busy with college life phew!
Anyway, i have a review for you guys on my new fave at the moment, its the laura mercier fan powder brush.
This is the new brush that came out at the start of the year along with the invisible loose setting powder. Its a soft duo fibre brush.
now i dont know about you guys but i absolutely loathe fan brushes, to me they are flimsy and frankly have no use right? wrong! this brush knocks all the fan brushes out! It's amazing!
I've been using it for a few weeks now and it works fantastic with loose powder. It picks up just the right amount of product and distributes its evenly around the face. it make the powder virtually invisible and give a great flawless finish!
But that's not all it works for, it makes a fabulous highlighter brush. i always give highligter a miss because i just thought its a bit of a hassle and an extra step i dont need, oh how wrong i was! ever since i have been using this brush for my dior amber diamond highlighter (love!) i have been getting tons of compliments on how my face is glowing.
Another positive is that you can use it for blush too! the possibilities are endless! As i said it picks up just the right amount of product, so it's great for building up the colour little by little.
Oh what can i say! its a dream come true! this brush costs £24.50 and is available from John lewis in the UK.
check it out guys, this one's a keeper!

REVIEW: natural collection loose powder
I have always used pressed powder to set foundation and keep shine at bay but a couple of months ago I had the urge to try a loose powder. So of I trotted to boots to try there loose powder. I had heard good thing about it and decided to give it a try and since it was cheap as chips (say £1.99) it didn't matter too much if i hated it.
I hurried home to ry it and i'm chuffed to say i LOVE it!
The loose powder comes in 2 shades neutral translucent and warm translucent, either way they are both translucent! I got it in neutral since my boots didn't have warm.
It comes in a traditional pot and has a sifter.
The product is a sandy colour but applie totally transparent. it keeps the shine away and the foundation in place.
Its really finely milled so it doesnt leave that powdery look on the skin, it sinks in completely!
lightly tapped on with a powder brush... |
blended in with the same brush.... |
ATM I dont really have anything bad to say about it
A definate good value for money and a keeper!
what are you favourite loose powders?
stay happy and healthy!
My favourite eyeliners!
I am a huge eyeliner fanatic and have been wearing it since I was 11years old.
I like all types of liners but my favourite is the liquid liner. They are just so classy and can make a huge difference to any look your sporting.
Below are some of my faves...
1. Barry m liquid eyeliner
This has a sponge tip and is really easy to use, great formula that stays on well. There might be some slight fading during the day but is still one of my faves and barry M have a huge range of colours and finishes ranging from metallics to the traditional black!
2. rimmel exaggerate liquid eyeliner
This eyeliner is pretty much exactly the same as the barry m without the excessive colour choice.
3. Bourjois kohl and contour eye pencil
This is one of my faveourite eye pencils. It is a very true dark black and has very good staying power. Its one of the more harder kohls but still it is soft enough to not drag on the skin.
4. Urban decay 24/7 glide on pencil
Now who doesn't love this eyeliner? It's a great eyeliner that is very smooth and glides on beautifully and stay put all day. however i do find it hard to sharpen to a point with it being so creamy.
5. clinique brush on cream liner
This is my favourite gel eyeliner. It is very black and stays put all day! No complaints with this one!
There we have it my favourite eyeliners!
